Piano lessons
My piano teaching method combines the Russian school of piano with American methodology. I pay special attention to the personality of the student and his or her goals in music. My teaching concept promotes parallel development of ear training, sight reading, and creative and technical piano skills, as well as music history and theory. I teach students of all ages and program is crafted individually. I offer two 30-minute lessons per week for children up to 7 years, one 45-minute lesson per week, or one 60-minute lesson per week for children 7 years or older.
Music Theory and Ear training
I teach Music Theory both individually and as a group.
This course is designed for two levels – Introductory and Intermediate. The main goal of this course is to learn basic and advanced music elements – rhythm, tempo, pitch, tonality, intervals and chords, articulation, dynamics, ornamentation, and basic music form. For each of the elements above, students will learn how to connect the sound to the written music. Each music element will be introduced and learned through listening, singing and writing. In addition, applicable music history topics will be introduced.
Music Literacy and Ear training for kids
This program is designed for the children ages 4 to 6 to introduce them to the basic elements of music, develop creativity and imagination. This program is fun; your kids will sing, play, dance, conduct, read and write music. I teach Music Literacy both individually and as a group.
